mountain living: The mountains are coming to life.

Here in Buena Vista, there is a lot of snow on the mountains. It seems to me as though they are whiter than normal for this time of year...but it could be me. The good news is that while hiking yesterday I spotted a bunch of Pasque flowers...they are the real indicator of Spring here it the Colorado Rockies. Everyone here...well we real estate brokers...are really ready for spring. While the rest of the world seems topsy turvey and the financial markets provide hourly whiplash, life here in Buena Vista seems uncommonly quiet and peaceful. Property sales are down this year, but values are holding. We are still listing and selling properties and life really is quite good. It's as if up at this elevation, we are afforded the priviledge of watching the rest of the world do what it does without being sucked into the drama. Being involved in drama is always a choice, but it just seems easier to avoid from this lofty perch. … (0 comments)
