Marketing your services, lead generation and application taking are the major processes involved in Loan Origination Business.  The other major functions of the Mortgage transaction business that is now getting to be heavily outsourced here in Manila are the application processing, credit scoring approval and verification of the title.  About 10-15% of your overhead costs are significantly reduced (Robinson and Kalakota, 1995).  I'm sure that at this time where the housing industry is in a slump (?), a 15% reduction in overhead costs would be a welcome relief to any company.

An example of a monthly breakdown of your costs for an in house crew 
1.  $10 per hour x 40 hours = $1,200
2.  Computer system, not including those geeks who will maintain your stuff (1,500 a year) = $125
3.  1,000 names list @25cents per name = $250
4.   Phone system / service / internet = $400
5.  office rentals (snacks, utilities) = $1,000 
total = $2,975.00
 
A trained Loan Originator will cost you at least $500 per month. He will be making calls for you (to vendors as well as to your list of prospects).  No more additional hr costs.
