Spanish Banks Dog Beach I recently adopted an old dog from the SPCA. While I originally wanted a puppy, I now know that adopting an older dog brings about a set of joys that I would not have known from a much younger dog. My "puppy" is a 9 year old rottweiler/ lab mix. It is through his eyes (and his love of the water and stick chasing) that I have found one of my favourite places in Vancouver. Vancouver has fabulous paths for walking, jogging and biking and they circle around the entire waterfront - from Stanley Park in the downtown (6 comments)

I have never had what most gals call "a bad hair day". I have had bad hair decades. Unfortunately, I have never had the gift of good hair maintenance. My big naturally curly do puffs up with the humidity in Vancouver - so much so that I am often swarmed by paramedics who mistakenly think I have just suffered a massive shock from sticking a fork in a toaster. BUT....life has changed drastically for me since I discovered a place called Blo. This salon is in Yaletown and they only wash and blow dry your hair. The don't cut and colour (0 comments)

It was a morning of adventure. The BF and I had heard about a great breakfast spot located between Main and Fraser on Broadway. Now the Main Street area is known for its funky eateries and coffee shops so it sounded like finding a needle in a haystack. The only clue we had was that there was a blue sign out front and its name started with the letter S. With only those scraps of information to go on, we became CSI investigators extraordinaire on a mission for bacon. We surprised even ourselves and found it relatively fast. I love living in this city! It is gorgeous....and fun....and full of interesting people, places and things. In my wanderings as a resident (and as a real estate agent), I am constantly stumbling across people, places and things that make me exclaim, "Wow!!! This is soooo fabulous!!"
