facebook: Invisible Children

Most of us are using facebook to stay in touch with friends, family, and clients. We see that the world has shifted into a new way of communicating and we are adapting. I remember my parents staying up until 2am so that they could call our relatives in Ireland at 8am their time - on a rotary dial phone. Today, I see my cousins on facebook nearly every day. We can Skype and fb message and email and Tweet in real time. We truly live in an age of miracles and wonder. So, what are we doing with this miraculous technology? (6 comments)

In this Information Age in which we live, how effective is it to spend an hour a day on facebook? How about checking emails? Do you count the time you spend on facebook as "personal interaction" with clients and friends? Does sending your friend a Birthday greeting on facebook, or in an e-card, carry the same weight as that of an old fashioned Birthday card delivered by the USPS or in person? How much time elapses between the moment you awaken to the moment you jump on the computer to check emails? Have you ever intended to spend 5 minutes checking (9 comments)
