summer heat: Trees Need Water Too!

We all know that these 100+ degree temperatures are hard on people and animals. If you'll look around your Kansas City neighborhood, you'll notice that some of the trees' leaves are turning brown. The prolonged drought combined with the heat wave are sapping all the trees' strength. They would LOVE a drink of water! Here's a link to phytosphere showing how to water a tree. A deep watering around the tree's drip line once every 10 days is better than a splash of water every day.
