realtor: Healthy Floors and Flooring Choices For Your TX Home for Sale - 04/15/12 08:33 AM
Healthy floors are an option for all of us. We walk on them every day, but how often do we actually give our floors consideration? Most of us have probably spent our entire lives not even thinking about carpet for example. We choose carpet based on color, style, and even price, not typically what the carpet is made from. The truth is that much of the carpeting that has traditionally covered our floors contains formaldehyde.
We often don't think about what we are surrounded by every day? What we walk on, sit on, drink out of are all made up of some type of … (2 comments)

realtor: What I love about VB! - 12/18/10 12:45 PM
Okay,  it's Saturday night.  And.....I just toured the Christmas display at the Bellagio!
I haven't had the opportunity to go to Vegas to see any of the attractions, but I have heard ALL about Vegas from my husband who has been there many times.
Not sure why I have never been--
Well, I enjoyed the heck out of my tour of the Bellagio.  It is Amazing!  The deer are my favorite part.  Check it out.  I can't believe the scale of the display!
But, I "reckon" that's Vegas... And VB, you are the quintessential "Vegas-ite."

realtor: CRS Class--One of the Gems in Real Estate Education - 09/22/09 03:27 PM
I cannot think of much of anything that I enjoy more than learning.  Learning keeps me alive, keeps my senses sensing, my blood pumping.  Today's CRS class --CRS 206 Technology--that I attended, taught by CRS instructor Extraordinaire-- Allen F Hainge was excellent.  These types of classes continue to demonstrate to me the vastness of what I have yet to learn.
Hope is the bud of a flower in an eternal spring.  Regeneration never ceases.
Woah--What's up with me tonight?  I guess I really feel inspired.  I have just had my head down just working away for a long time.  I feel like … (6 comments)

realtor: A Fall From Grace--In Front of Everyone - 09/20/09 05:39 PM
A Fall From Grace--In Front of Everyone.  This is not my first blog about the Texas Rangers, but it is my first about Hank Blaylock.  How tough must it be to be not just a starter, but a psuedo-superstar.  There were so many fans of Hank.  there were even "Hank's Homies" that made an incredible statement at the games in support of Hank.
What has happened?  Hard enough to be in a slump, but in the national spotlight in what may have been a pennant race?  That's the issue, what "may have been a pennant race."  We need someone to blame … (1 comments)

realtor: Does Your Garden relax you like it relaxes me? - 06/13/09 01:15 PM
Does Your Garden relax you like it relaxes me?

Wow.  Here I am on a Saturday night listening to Andrea Bocelli and looking out on my garden.  I am such a geek, but I love it.  It is so peaceful. The colors...the greens, the purples and the reds.  So gorgeous.  My Passion Vines are really taking off and are creating a beautiful natural arbor from one trellis to the next on some fishing line that I strung to allow the vines to travel to the neighboring trellises.

And, today, I splurged.  I bought a $54 mister.  I still can't believe I did it.  But I … (5 comments)

AORTA Headline: Higher Numbers on Calendars found to Contribute to Stress
These findings have just been released from the "Association of Realtors Trying Adlibs" AORTA:
Increasing numeric figures in the Calendar stream headlong into higher levels of fear and anxiety that mount toward an increase in frenzied activity leading toward something called "closings."  The problem begins as the calendar numbers climb toward 28-29-30 and sometimes even 31.  Doctors are still trying to determine why these "closings" appear more toward the end of a month, but have linked such activities to these higher stress levels.

As these Realtors attempt to keep the … (1 comments)

Going Green in a Semi down I-45
So, coming in to my office today, I witnessed one of the many available visual ironies.  A semi hauling-

you guessed it-yet another trailr (pups) with the logo "Go Green!"  Hmmm.  Kind of made me think of several things, besides the obvious irony.  For one, the new House Hunters episode last night (I love that show) was about a woman in Oregon looking to live in a kind of Green Commune.
The concept is smaller living areas with the basics and a large main house where communal dinners are shared and fresh organic … (0 comments)

What my husband will and will not allow me to do
By: Mari Zuvich Montgomery
Life is great when you have freedom. Freedom to speak, freedom to act, freedom to try new things.  I just went through a drive through to pick up some lunch, and a soldier in service to our great country crossed the parking lot.  I instinctively opened my window and shouted, "Thanks for your service to us," to which he responded by turning around to acknowledge, then removed his cap, smiled broadly tipped his head and said, "your welcome, mam."
