It is interesting to read a quote of mine from a report for the Marsh Creek Country Club 2010 Trends Report last year and the prediction that the market improvement would be "quite gradual". "There are a lot of pre-foreclosures out there which will keep the prices depressed; unemployment is still high, which will eliminate some of the migration here. That is why I think it will be quite gradual. With that said, Marsh Creek Country Club still tends to be a very popular place to live and sales there have been picking up. The Palm Beach Post recently reported that despite the most serious economic downturn in decades, Florida golfers are still willing to pay to play. “The number of rounds played in South Florida fell only 1.3% from 2008 to 2009 and rose from 2007 to 2008, according to the PGA of America, based in Palm Beach Gardens. And the revenue collected by golf courses dipped 3.8% from 2008 to 2009” The duffers are still coming out in numbers but demanding discounts for play.
