watson realty corp: I Quit !! - 12/03/11 04:11 AM
I recently did one of the hardest things EVER.  I quit.

I walked away from a WONDERFUL career in General Real Estate.  I walked away from a WONDERFUL company, Watson Realty Corp, St. Augustine Beach. And I walked away from the most WONDERFUL Broker and mentor, Paula Silberberg who supported me like no other.

Why would I do something so crazy? (I'm sure you are wondering...)  I did it to follow my heart, my passion.
You see, our Online Marketing Company, Listing Solutions, has grown so much.  Yeah!!  So much, in fact, I have accepted a more active position … (13 comments)

With more than 1 million U.S. homes in some phase of the foreclosure process, great deals abound. Really?  Are you kidding me?  Where does this type of property exist?   Surely they do not…not in Northeast Florida, not in St. Augustine.  Foreclosures can … (1 comments)

watson realty corp: All White Already - 08/25/11 02:22 AM

My boyfriend, Dan, just moved to a new condo in SeaGrove at St. Augustine Beach.  The walls are all WHITE, the trim is all WHITE, the blinds are all WHITE.  I need sunglasses when I go over it is so WHITE!
He has asked me for some help adding color ... it is a bit of a task, what goes with this, is that too much with all this?  I found some helpful information about the basics of the color wheel and how different schemes work.
Once he is unpacked I plan to do some before and after shots.  … (3 comments)

watson realty corp: What do Buyers Want? - 08/08/11 10:01 AM
Home builders and developers have sought to answer this perplexing question by sifting through the information gleaned from focus groups.  I have been part of Focus Groups, on the Developer side and found it was a very interesting process.  We selected participants who were looking to purchase a new home in St. Augustine or had recently purchased on.  We asked them questions about their preferences, showed them photographs of different architectural designs and color schemes.
It was hugely expensive and not very productive as Antigua project is still not developed. A Washington Post article questions whether these Focus groups really affect … (1 comments)

watson realty corp: 10 Good Reasons why Buyers MUST have a Home Inspection - 05/23/11 04:59 AM
After Buyers make an offer to buy a home and enters into contract, their process of near-endless check writing begins. There are many necessary costs, such as financing charges and professional fees.  The total of these expenses may have them looking for ways to save money elsewhere. They may be tempted to skip the home inspection and its $200 to $500 invoice, but there are at least 10 good reasons why they must get one.
I recommend a Home Inspection to every buyer.  In fact Watson Realty Corp. has a disclaimer for them.
