Waving Proudly with a fantastic backdrop
Coming out of Super One Grocery in Sandpoint Idaho one late afternoon I was treated to quite a surprise.  In the short time I had been inside a storm front had moved in.  With Super One flying our Flag at all stores this one seemed to be perfectly framed.  I needed to scramble to the car and grab the camera in order not to let the opportunity pass by.

With Memorial Day fast approaching
With my recent post of Garfield Bay I included a short video of Garfield Bay, North Idaho.   Our good friend Endre Barath, Jr. commented on how he liked the American Flags blowing.  Knowing Endre to be the Patriot he is I was going to comment back with a link to my favorite video.

As you all know by now I am a big fan of our American Flag and all it stands for.  We admittedly have our problems in the United States as do other countries.  I am proud to be an American and so grateful for everything afforded to us being part of the United States of America.  Long may our Flag wave!

As most of you know by now I enjoy taking photos and especially so of our American Flag. Selkirk Association of Realtors® (SAR) asked any members who cared to submit a picture, for this years first SAR's Annual Calandar.  It will be comprised of local area shots by members of the Selkirk Assoctiation of Realtor's®.  I must say I am quite pleased that my flag photo entry will represent Selkirk Association of Realtors' picture contest Calandar for the month of July 2015.      All the Super One Foods/ Groceries chain proudly fly the American Flag in North Idaho.  It is nice to see it waving as you drive bye or walk in.  I was treated to a rare sight, yesterday evening, as I walked from the store. Thunder storms had rolled through the valley, between the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains, of the North Idaho Panhandle. With the sun having mostly disappeared behind the Selkirk Mountains this was the view, as I looked to the east from Sandpoint, Idaho towards Hope, Idaho and the Cabinet Mountains. Bonners Ferry Idaho  sits on the Kootenai River approximately 30 miles from the Canadian Border.  As visitors and locals alike come south on Highway 95 they are welcomed by our American Flag flying in the Veteran's Memorial Park.  As you travel north, the Kootenai River acts as a back drop to the park and flag. Our Canadian visitors, from Creston, Cranbrook, Nelson, Kimberly, and many more cities, are welcomed by this site as they come thru Bonners Ferry.  On this particular day I was taken back by the vivid colors, soft wave of our flag against the clear blue sky.  I … (8 comments)
