bonners ferry: Bonners Ferry Rotary North Hill Walk - 06/05/16 12:56 AM
Bonners Ferry Rotary North Hill Walk
With the early morning sun just peaking over the Purcell Mountain Range Halley and I got out for a walk at Bonners Ferry Rotary North Hill Walk.  With my recent bike training the pace was quite a bit more brisk than what my girl is normally used to.  I believe she is a bit worn out and happy to be napping at the house.

bonners ferry: 50 Shades of Green - Bonners Ferry Idaho - 05/20/16 02:58 AM
50 Shades of Green - Bonners Ferry Idaho
While traveling to a listing appointment with Rain Silverhawk she mentioned how she so loves spring.  Of course I immediately agreed thinking of all the colors with the new flowers blooming.  That was not it though for Rain.  She has a different perspective that after shared I can not help but enjoy daily as well.  It is all the different shades and hues of green that are so prominent as springs unfolds.
As traveling by the Mirror Lake Golf course the other morning, after a day of spring rains, behind I had to stop for this shot … (13 comments)

bonners ferry: Signs of an early spring in North Idaho - 02/15/16 08:35 PM
Signs of an early spring in North Idaho
While walking Halley yesterday morning I could not help but wonder at the drastic change in the landscape, in and around Bonners Ferry Idaho, from only a week ago.  Temperatures have warmed to the mid 40's with rain on the valley floors.  The snow has all but disappeared from the ground.  North Idaho seldom disappoints in showing off her four seasons.

bonners ferry: When Traveling North Idaho - Don't leave home without it ! - 02/01/16 12:16 PM
When Traveling North Idaho - Don't leave home without it !Your camera that is. Their are too many opportunities that are always showing themselves.  As this morning when I left Naples heading out for a walk.  The sun was breaking through the clouds. Highway 95, heading north to Bonners Ferry, was clear, clean and dry.  The temperature was showing a muggy 30 degrees or so.  Upon stepping out of the car I realized the heavy fog was creating a much colder feel than what was showing. Bone chilling actually.
While walking, the fog would lift and move.  Giving way to scenes much more representative … (31 comments)

bonners ferry: The 'air' is still free to breathe - 01/14/16 01:44 AM
The 'air' is still free to breathe
While heading back from walking Halley this morning I noticed the car seemed to be pulling right a bit.  Stopping at the store for some OJ and of course a couple of treats for Halley I checked the right front tire.  Sure enough, was very low.
Low enough I did not want to travel any farther than need be to get some air.  So while a bit surprised with what I read on the air compressor I had dug into my pocket.  Even in Bonners Ferry we question the prices from time to time.
Experience the change … (8 comments)

bonners ferry: A balmy walk in Bonners Ferry North Idaho this morning - 01/03/16 10:16 AM
A balmy walk in Bonners Ferry North Idaho this morning
Halley and I headed out early this morning.  As I loaded her up thought it was a bit cooler than had been the last couple days.  It was not till almost to Bonners Ferry that I noticed the temperature.
We had the  Rotary North Hill Walk to ourselves as planned.  The sun not yet reaching this side of the valley.  Looking south beyond Bonners Ferry were the sun topped Selkirk Mountains.  Below was the Kootenai River partially hidden with the fog generated by the warmer water temperatures.  Absolutely perfect timing for A balmy … (6 comments)

Merry Christmas from Bonners Ferry with only 3 Day Left !
North Idaho has storms rolling through.  Yesterday through this morning left the best accumulation by far on the valley floors.  In fact I am typing this after having spent close to 4 hours snow blowing and tidying up at the park.  The Welcome sign is seen off Highway 95 just before crossing Kootenai River and entering Bonners Ferry.  The spectacular Christmas lights are in town.
Merry Christmas from Bonners Ferry with only 3 Day Left !

New Years Day 2015 in Sandpoint Idaho
Fireworks, parties, festive dinners, all will have taken place on New Year's Eve.  New Year's Day...January 1, 2015 will bring social gatherings, football and more parties.  With Thursday being the "1st" that means most of us will have a long weekend to recouperate from whatever activities we chose to do on New Year's Eve and Day.  I am quite excited about my plans for the day after New Years Day 2015 in Sandpoint Idaho.
Last year saw over 100 expireds  hit the market on January 1st alone.  Within 3 days that number increased to close … (3 comments)

'Sandpoint North Idaho' Monday Movie Review with Mark Don McInnes
While many of you may have thought 'Monday Movie Review' was for in Theater Movies only I wanted to jump right out and let you know past and present DVD's of classics to 'B' rated are welcome as well.  What is most important to Sandpoint North Idaho Monday Movie Review with Mark Don McInnes is that we get a feel for the entertainment value.
To help get some Christmas Spirit going I thought I would mention 2 Christmas movies that may not be on your shelf and maybe should be.  'Jack Frost' with … (5 comments)

bonners ferry: Bonners Ferry Rotary at Boundary County Fair 2014 - 11/24/14 05:26 AM
Bonners Ferry Rotary at Boundary County Fair 2014
With the onset of winter in full swing I can not help but look back on this past year's events that I was a part of in one fashion or another.  This particular function is one of my favorites even though the money raised is nominal at best. Bonners Ferry Rotary at Boundary County Fair 2014   is for the enjoyment of the kids...no matter their age.

Bonners Ferry Rotary sets up a booth every year for shooting bean bags at cow bells.  For the extravagent cost of 25 cents each participant … (2 comments)

Bonners Ferry Three bedroom Home with warehouse SOLD!
CONGRATULATIONS to Karen Robinson and Jim Ronbinson of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.  This was a unique opportunity which also makes for fewer possible buyers.  1 acre of land, a 2,500 Sq. Ft. home with an attached 2,900 sq. ft. warehouse with Main Street frontage.  As well happen often times we were not getting the views I felt the Main Street frontage warranted until we received the first offer.  Then it was like the flood gates opened.  I delivered the final paperwork this evening to a speechless Karen.  Almost got a tear in her eye … (8 comments)

bonners ferry: "Doogy Doo" dog groomer in Bonners Ferry - 11/03/14 04:38 AM
Our pets mean the world to us and so the people who care for them are also special.  I have been so fortunate in having had Shaya at "Doogy Doo" in Bonners Ferry, Idaho groom not only Halley presently, but Bilbo and Grizzly prior to her.
Shaya knows that taking care of me is just as important as getting Halley cleaned up.  I know I ask those silly questions that leave her shaking her head after I leave.  We can not help it with our pets right?  Shaya's smile and energy never falter.  Shaya knows and understands customer service along … (11 comments)

bonners ferry: Over the top Halloween Decorations - 10/27/14 12:36 PM
I posted a a couple of Halloween home decoration photos the other day.
They were of a wonderful home in Sandpoint Decorated to the 10's.  I will be honest.  I was a bit disappointed that the house in Bonner Ferry was not decorated as it normally is.  Well on my way to get Halley groomed today I glanced over to see the weekend had made way to the Halloween decorations. Wishing it were a bit more towards dusk. I took a few shots anyway.  So this be the home representing the 'Over the Top' Halloween decorations for Bonners Ferry, Idaho.  It … (8 comments)

bonners ferry: Bonners Ferry Golf Course Open Till Sunday October 26th, 2014 - 10/19/14 05:08 AM
Mirror Lake Golf Course in Bonners Ferry will remain open through the last weekend in October.  Always a well maintained and groomed course it is absolutely spectacular right now.  Fairways and greens still lush and not starting to brown yet.  This is a municipal golf course and as the pictures show fairway and green maintenance is still in full swing.  (pun intended)
A nine hole course with 2 different tee locations for the full 18.  Rated at 6,001 yards for the 18 holes this makes for a challenging day as you wrap around water hazards, tree lines, and sandtraps.  With 2 … (4 comments)

bonners ferry: If this DINOSAUR can do it, anyone can do it ! - 09/30/14 11:12 AM
There was a recent contest for video's in Active Rain.  Nice point rewards for doing 3 videos.  For all the shouting about points I was very surprised how few actually participated in the contest.  Then I got to thinking.  Always a scary thought there.   I know when I first started with video it was very intimidating. I had bought an outdated Corel program.  Not intentional, only out of not knowing.  I became very frustrated in loosing videos to the system after an hour of working on them.  Or dreading putting one together knowing it would probably be an hour or … (17 comments)

bonners ferry: Bonners Ferry to Sandpoint Idaho on Highway 95 - 09/29/14 02:09 PM
North Idaho is so beautiful all year round.  It is hard to compare one season over another.  I happen to prefer fall, so tend to take a moment to appreciate all around me just a little more frequently.  Just last week we had a couple of light rains during the night.  The days following were spectacular.

This particular morning I needed to pick up some keys in Bonners Ferry before heading to Sandpoint.  On the way there I took notice of the crisp blue skies accented with clouds and the vibrant colors showing themselves with the fresh … (7 comments)

bonners ferry: Rotary's North Hill walk in Bonners Ferry, Idaho - 08/31/14 02:09 PM
Old Highway 95 coming into Bonners Ferry from the north still sits in tact above the new highway.  The difference now is that it is strictly for pedestrian traffic.  Bonners Ferry Rotary has taken over the 1.5 mile stretch of pavement. Cleaning, upkeep, general maintenance.  They added park benches as well as picnic tables at the point that offers the most beautiful views of the Kootenai River, valley, and Old Bonners Ferry.  They also put the Bonners Ferry welcome sign in for visitors and locals alike as they head south to Sandpoint and beyond thru Bonners Ferry.  This walk is but … (4 comments)

bonners ferry: Bonners Ferry Annual Kootenai River Run successful in '2014' - 07/14/14 12:32 PM
Bonners Ferry, Idaho is a small town with a population of approximately 2,700.  The town is extremely community minded with events geared towards helping locals, whether it be school programs, individuals or scholarships.
One such event is the KOOTENAI RIVER RUN.  A  5 and 10 K walk run starting and finishing at the Bonners Ferry Fairgrounds.  Held Saturday June 21st, 2014 the event once again was a huge success.  Proceeds go to scholarships for local runners as well as to the Bonners Ferry High School Cross Country Program.
A last minute cancellation, from one of the volunteers, meant they were … (2 comments)
