Bonners Ferry Idaho Soon To Be But a Memory
With temperatures turning warmer in North Idaho the snow filled days will soon be but a memory.  Looking almost as if a Norman Rockwell cover for Post Magazine I captured late night Old Main Street Bonners Ferry, with people having long deserted the stormy, snowy night in favor of warmth and Super Bowl 51.

Bonners Ferry Rotary Recipient of Nice Thank you from WaCanId Ride
Those of you who follow me know of my involvement with both Rotary and WaCanId International Selkirk Loop yearly Bicycle Ride.  Yesterday I was quite proud to present Bonners Ferry Rotary a $1,700 check for their part in making this years ride yet another success.
With eight clubs participating around the 371 mile route of the International Selkirk Loop, the WaCanId was successful in raising over $11,000.00.  With 20 riders already having already signed up for the September event we are looking forward to our most successful year in 2017.

North Idaho Kids - Stepping back to a good place
I have such a good time at the Rotary Booth in Bonners Ferry for the Boundary County Fair.  It is just a matter of sitting on a saw horse and shooting a bean bag at holes in a painted farm mural.  Kind of a sling shot affair.  These two brothers look to have stepped back in time.  They portray the excitement and awe of what life was like without phones, ipads, technology.  I have always been happy I was able to catch this moment as one brother looks on just as the … (11 comments)

I Always Travel North Idaho with My Copilot
It is on a rare occasion that I find myself alone when traveling.  Halley insists on being with me at all times.  Her happy dance when I am putting on my shoes or picking up my keys convinces me.  Most of the time she prefers having her head further forward but I am without doubt she knows when I am trying to get a picture of her.

Don't be Ascared - Experience it without...
Traffic that is.  Without traffic.  North Idaho has been getting hit with hard rains for a couple of weeks now.  From north of Bonners Ferry to south of Sandpoint Idaho.  Driving can be intimidating at best in heavy rains, especially at night.  This picture is of Main Street, Highway 95, at our one signal in Bonners Ferry.  What many would call rush hour traffic of 6pm.  While rain is falling hard the traffic is what most would consider nill even with this being rush hour!

bonnersferry: Never moving - Always Changing - 10/23/16 04:19 PM
Never moving - Always Changing
Between Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry Idaho, just off Highway 95, is an abundance of variety in views.  This pasture is one of my favorites to look upon.  Nestled at the base of the Selkirk Mountains it always seem to have a Louis L A'mour type feel to it.  While it obviously never moves, it instead lets the weather bring to it subtle changes every day.  Today was a brief and welcomed break from the constant rain of the past coupld of weeks.

Bonners Ferry Idaho surrounded by Snowy Mountains
With heavy rains over the past few days North Idaho woke to snow covered peaks in every direction.  With a couple of days of clear skies we will be able to enjoy these views for a bit before more predicted rain and cooler temperatures still.  I hope you find these photos as beautiful as I found the actual views as walking Halley this evening in Bonners Ferry Idaho.

Expansive views northern most portion Idaho Panhandle
While driving north, from Bonners Ferry to the Canadian border, for the WaCanId Ride 2016 meeting. in Rossland BC. I was yet again taken back.  The beauty and the expansive views, that stretch in all directions,  are amazing.

This is what will greet the WaCanId bicycle riders as they cross the border back into North Idaho and continue to move south through Bonners Ferry and ultimately finish in Sandpoint Idaho.   Not a bad start to the final day of riding
(final day 6 approximately 80 miles - 371 miles overall- Sept. 12 thru 17th '16). … (11 comments)

bonnersferry: Sunrise at Black Mountain Bonners Ferry Idaho - 08/14/16 01:06 AM
Sunrise at Black Mountain
Tough wake up call this morning.  With WaCanId International Selkirk Loop Bicycle Ride only a month away I know every ride counts and none should be missed.  So the pedals were spinning while I was still clearing the head of early morning cob webs.
I was rewarded this morning with this fantastic sunrise at Black Mountain in Paradise Valley.

bonnersferry: Location still important to Selling/Purchasing a Home - 08/05/16 09:24 PM
Location still important to Selling/Purchasing a Home
The time for paying attention to a home's location is not when you are selling, but rather when you are looking to purchase.  The local amenities, neighborhood, traveling distances all make up part of a homes value before anyone opens the front door.
6558 Chinook in Bonners Ferry Idaho offers more than can be told in a single post.  Click here for more detailed location information.  Public Boat Launch, River Camping, Hospital, Downtown all near Bye.
