With temperatures turning warmer in North Idaho the snow filled days will soon be but a memory.  Looking almost as if a Norman Rockwell cover for Post Magazine I captured late night Old Main Street Bonners Ferry, with people having long deserted the stormy, snowy night in favor of warmth and Super Bowl 51.

Sandpoint Idaho is unique in many different ways.  From Schweitzer Mountain Resort to Downtown Sandpoint at Lake Pend Oreille in about 30 minutes.  Abundant wildlife, sometimes even seeing a moose in Sandpoint City. Rivers and Lakes for fishing, boating, swimming, and playing all near bye.  Biking / Walking paths from one end of the city to the other and beyond.  While there are many specific things to see and do, Downtown Sandpoint Idaho to be Enjoyed No Matter the Season !

Sandpoint Restaurant - "Mick Duffs Brewery" a perfect stop!
As heading home last night I knew I would not be in the mood to fix dinner when getting there.  Just a little after 5pm I was surprised to see how quiet downtown main street was in Sandpoint Idaho.  With no problem in finding a parking spot I went in to Sandpoint Restauran - "Mick Duffs Grewery".
The cold and wet weather along with Christmas shopping had left the tables pretty much empty.  Not good for business and yet perfect for me.  Sitting with the fire to my back I enjoyed the virtually empty street … (13 comments)

Sandpoint Idaho is a special town year round.  Yet when summer officially starts one can just barely keep up with all the events in and around Sandpoint.  One of the regular events is the Farmers Market held through out the summer, till Labor Day, on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.  You will find the market in the Main City Park.  It has grown to needing a street closed down to accomadate the vendors.  Local artists playing on stage add to the ambiance and local charm.  Fresh local grown veggies and fruits bring in regulars and tempt visitors.  My must have, a few … (0 comments)
