Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' shows a bit of relief from this past week of brutal cold weather along with snow.
While the window of a bit of sunshine was brief it was the turning point for our low temperatures. The Sandpoint Idaho temps are forecasted to climb back up to high 30's as quickly as they dropped to the subzero. And that change is starting tomorrow.

All of North Idaho, including Sandpoint Idaho, experienced a record breaking cold snap over the past few days. Within 48 hours temperatures dropped from the 30 plus degrees shown below to negative 20 to 30 degrees not taking into account wind chill.

Below picture shows North Idaho temperatures rapidly dropping and shortly there after was showing negative 20's and 30's, depending on your area.

Subzero temps night and day became very challenging for an area previously concerned with single digit temps. Finally, as below pic denotes temps began warming.

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' holds with showing off the snow a bit more and the Stars & Stripes so well highlighted in doing so.
This photo holding with the promise to show more flags with the snow during these North Idaho winter months. Ironically today also marks us dropping approximately 45 degrees in past 36 hours.
With sunset this evening we are forecasted to drop approximately another 10 bringing temps to an unheard of minus 20 for North Idaho.

While I am exaggerating about the Jitterz as we head into 2024, I am sure that we are all watching closely as to how important issues will fold out this year. Election year and current litigations not being the least of those issues.
Sandpoint Idaho, in fact all North Idaho, does not lack for its coffee shops, or huts. I am talking dozens in Sandpoint Idaho, and the immediate surrounding area.

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' comes late this week, yet one I very specifically took the photo for the week ending December 29, 2023.
As you can see this weeks Friday Flag is also the final 'Friday Flag' for 2023. Coeur D' Alene Resort proudly displays our flag year round and we have enjoyed a few different shots as the seasons pass.

North Idaho offers so much to enjoy, not only in the landscape but all that surrounds us daily.
These bad boys came over to take a closer look as I was on my way to a listing appointment in Priest River Idaho. Glad they found the barbed wire fence suffiecent in dividing us. Those darn stares still a bit intimidating.

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' shows itself quite well this week on Main Street across from one of my other favorite USA Flags.
The Holidays are celebrated at Coeur D' Alene Idaho Resort with an abundance of lights and decor. Very special. Joining that is main street lights which is where I found this flag flying and showing itself quite nicely amonst all the lights.

Sandpoint Realty 'Monday Motivation' leans more towards the ongoing rather than a finish. As we near the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 think twice on the importance of wanting to disregard all of the mistakes and trials of our year past.
In browsing quotes for change or new beginnings I found it interesting how many wanted yesterday's mistakes and trials to be erased by starting over.

Sandpoint Reatly 'Monday Motivation' while true in and of itself, needs be adjusted a bit, in my opinion.
This quote is true to both men and women and they need not be 'great'. The common person, often unnoticed, fights adversity as well, just not noticed by as many.
I remember a 'River Rafting Trip' from many decades back. Our guides promised us a special extra, to the trip, if we were interested in a bit of a hike and a little climbing. A small group of us went.

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' comes from one of my favorite spots to see 'Ole Glory' flying. Bonners Ferry Memorial Park just off Highway 95, for both locals and visitors to see as driving north or south across Kootenai River.
In searching files for this week's 'Friday Flag' I realized I was lacking in snow pic flags. I have leaned towards the sky mainly because of the contrast of the our colors against the dark grays of an ominous sky.
The USA Flag with the white snow in the background is no less brilliant so I will concentrate on getting us some more pics … (9 comments)

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' is shown outside recently opened restaurant in Sandpoint Idaho at Boyer and Highway 2.
While it may not seem crowded for having just opened it is near sunset and just below freezing. Pulled BBQ'd pork being a specialty at their buffet style restaurant. And of course after taking the pictures I felt obligated to order some takeout of Mac & Cheese with their homemade 'spicy' sausage links.

Sandpoint Realty 'Thursday Thought' may seem a bit cynical at first glance...
I have asked our office to really be honest with themselves about how many 'friends' they can truly trust with their lives? How many are truly there in time of need, or when we need support, not advice?
Personally I can count on one hand mine, and have change left. The point I am making to the office is to treat every transaction, and interactions, with the utmost professionalism. Do not let details slide because of a feeling of friendship having grown with clients.
