As seen in the YouTube Video Thumbnail, for Sandpoint Realty Wednesday Word 17, 67% of the general public believe the housing market is going to crash. In that figure I would also include Real Estate Agents. While I believe we all are cognizant of the extremely volatile market-economy at the present time, I also believe the news media and social media are doing us no favors.
Accurate figures can be used to mislead, when just showing one portion of a larger picture. No one knows exactly where 2023 will take us. Watching the video does however, show there is much more to the … (5 comments)

It seems Mr. Punxsutawney got it right, at least for North Idaho. We had a harsh winter storm blow thru yesterday. The sun is out in Sandpoint Idaho today and can be very deceptive. Drivers not always realizing, while in their warm car, the temps still single digits. As you can see near the parking entrance, because of no sun reflection, one might not realize the packed ice is there.
Even more difficult to see when driving even 40 miles an hour, much less highway speeds. Plan an extra minute or two. Be cognizant that four wheel drive does not change braking power.

Sandpoint Realty recent listing (courtesy Rain Silverhawk) is an excellent example of location-location-location. Just at the upper portion of the aerial you can see the home at the outskirts of Sandpoint Idaho & Ponderay Idaho city limits. Marked are some nearby well known locations. Also within the same radius, and not marked, are several restaurants, hotels, medical, grocery, Post Office, multi screen theater, and of course a fast food haven along Hwy 95. We are for some interesting, shifting, changing, times ahead in 2023. I believe Sandpoint Realty 'Monday Motivation' touches on a little of what might be needed. We tend to automatically relate physical presence with 'tough'. Ironically, physical toughness starts with another type of tough. Mental. The last couple of years and at least this one coming up will require Mental Toughness to survive and especially thrive.

I met some past clients, now friends, at Connie's Cafe yesterday morning. Connie's is one of those iconic business's that one finds in most any town, especially a small town or city. Connie's Cafe has been in Sandpoint Idaho since 1955. The service was awesome, as always. The food delivered hot, and as always no one left hungry. They bring a good size meal no matter the order. When leaving there was a line waiting, with tables and counter full. A wonderful hometown feel to it all.
And this atmosphere maintained by new owners taking over in 2019. They kept the restaurant open … (17 comments)

This time of year many, in Northern Idaho, are anxious to see the white gone and the thermometers to show above 32 Degrees.
