Early morning commutes in North Idaho Stressful
NOT !
As I prepare for the 2016 WaCanId bicycle ride I can not help but appreciate the beauty that surrounds us in North Idaho.  I am not traveling miles and unloading my bike.  I am walking out my door with my bike to enjoy these early mornings.  It is supposed to be called training.  Imagine this being your ride to work in Sandpoint Idaho from Naples Idaho every day.

A nice start to the day - A time to reflect
Off shortly after sunrise I was able to enjoy the early morning fog rolling across the pastures and up through the hills along Deep Creek Loop in Naples Idaho.  Some sprinkles of hail only added to the beauty of the ride.

Moving along Deep Creek Loop I was treated, with a special moment, at one of my favorite spots.  With timing perfect I was able to stop and grab a shot of this beast crossing the creek.

With miles behind and more ahead I could not help but appreciate the beauty around … (14 comments)

Ahhh the 'Secret' Mineral Oils that cure all ?
I have a tenant that I am trying to get out.  Trying to decide on proper way to make that a separate post.  This post is about another Secret Potion answer to yet another frustrating issue most likely all of us have faced at one time or another.  Mice.
Once again this tip comes from Rain Silverhawk while we were on the way to set signs for a new listing of hers.  (Kudos Rain!)  I mentioned the condition of the house that is being 'kinda' moved out of.  While mice in the forest … (12 comments)

Micro Managing !  -   A style from the past, except in maybe  Naples Idaho
Give me a job and trust me to do it correctly or do not ask me to do it at all.  From the complicated to the basic.  Were I not competent enough to get it done I most likely would not be the one doing the work.  Apparently there are those in North Idaho that did not get the memo or classes.  That would explain why Micro Management is a style from the past, except Naples Idaho.
A healthy snow storm came through the North Idaho area … (20 comments)

Snow Removal in North Idaho - Snow holds on valley floors
First snow storm to finally hit the lower elevations in North Idaho.  Sandpoint Idaho easily saw 4 to 6 inches this afternoon it and is sticking.  Traveling home north to Naples Idaho it was falling even harder.  I followed Deep Creek Loop past my turn off knowing there would be some beautiful sights to see.  Of course there always the scales to keep things even.  In addition to the beautiful sights there would be Snow Removal in North Idaho with the snow holding on the valley floors.
After warming up, with … (0 comments)

naples idaho: Holiday Decorations in Naples Idaho - 12/14/14 08:54 AM
Holiday Decorations in Naples Idaho
Christmas and the Holiday's bring on such a multitude of decorations.  Along with the decorations come warmth of emotions.  A time when we can openly say thank you, or express our gratitude to someone for being in our lives.  It can be a time of family and friends along with memories of past,  both cheerful and sad.  With this Holiday Decorations in Naples Idaho post for Debbie Laity's contest I will focus on the cheerful.  As we know that can sometimes tug on the heart strings as well.
Mom truely loved Christmas and always made it special.  Most likely … (8 comments)

naples idaho: Sandpoint, Idaho sees its first snow on the valley floor ! - 11/10/14 12:01 PM
I was excited this morning, as I headed for the office, expecting Sandpoint, Idaho to have received it's first snow of the year.  Naples, Idaho had a little less than an inch and surprisingly heading south will show more snow than north.  I knew just the spot I wanted to take a picture of this "First Snowfall"
It was not to be.  The weather pattern was opposite of what it normally is.  Naples and Bonners Ferry, Idaho had received more snow, albeit minimal.  The spot I had planned on taking the picture still had a magical feel to it this … (5 comments)
