Perfect Image with the longer days stretching out
With the darker hours rapidly giving way to the extended daylight I was pleasently surprised to glance over and see this perfect image of Halley imposed on one of my pictures as she was sitting on the couch, with me, receiving some rubs and late afternoon love talkin. Both cowboy and Halley seem to be looking to far off horizons only they can see.

Early bird gets the worm does not just apply to work !
While driving to Sandpoint, on Highway 95, this morning I was enjoying the battle that seemed to be taking place between the storm clouds and the sun. Both gaining and loosing control just as quickly as gained. As I passed my 'lollipop tree' it almost seemed to be standing alone watching the battle anxiously awaiting the outcome. Had I not been up early, and on the road, this moment would have passed with one less person enjoying it.

Nina Hollander had a wonderful post this Sunday morning that it was/is National Compliment Day. I enjoyed the post and went out of my way to pass along some compliments that I normally would take mental note of, and not verbalize. Every sincere compliment earned a warm smile and thank you.

For those of you who do not know, Real Estate Agents that call on expired listings are many times referred to as 'Bottom Feeders' by their fellow agents. Such an ugly term. Let's get this stated up front...I do call expired listings as part of my lead generation! The term and the attitude towards calling expired's bothered me in the past. It no longer does. In fact I find it rather fascinating.

As Real Estate professionals we do our best to insure our clients experience is the very best possible, in every way. Of course we are doing it to make a living, and yet there is the side of us that realizes this is one of a persons biggest, most important, moments in their life.
A thank you from a client is always special. It means a lot. A thank you from another agent means a lot in that they know the work needed to complete a transaction.

Before heading home to Naples Idaho this evening I swung by SWAC to pay my monthly membership dues. With cold wet conditions I was expecting to see a few extra vehicles in the parking lot. The parking lot was beyond full. I had to park half in a walkway just to run inside for a moment.
Normally one girl at the front desk and tonight there were 2 with still a bit of a line asking questions and such. The number of people had not altered their friendly demeanor I am … (11 comments)

Planning, organizing, goal setting for 2015
I well appreciate the importance of goal setting and being organized for the year ahead. Whether I have everything in order, or not for a coming year, one of the first items of business for me is getting the Christmas decorations down immediately after Christmas Day. In fact there has been a couple of times on Christmas night I have started. My Planning, organizing, goal setting for 2015 would be hindered were not Christmas Decorations down.

Yes I was accussed. While standing in line at Starbuck's Coffee in Sandpoint I was speaking with a lady in front of me. We were doing the small talk about the weather, the recent lighting of the Town Square Christmas Tree, nothing out of the ordinary. She then asked what I did for work. " I am a Realtor®" and shortly after that Accusations Made of Sandpoint Idaho Realtor !

As Realtor's® we all know the value of information. We have a list, whether written or mental, that we go thru with a new prospect we are speaking with. I could not help but relate our asking for information to that of a phone call I made last night as I was driving home. I had to question at what point, are we as Real Estate Agents turning off possible clients, doing exactly what I felt the Sandpoint Police were doing in asking for too much information.

Communication within the Real Estate field remains one of the top areas needed for improvement according to National Association of Realtors®' surveys. I have mentioned before my believe in continual education. Yesterday I participated in an exercise that was an incredible eye opener. Probably one of the biggest I have ever had in any class or seminar. Even with its simplicity it really drove home the importance of Realtor® Communications with buyers and sellers.

"Dumb and Dumber" with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is a must see if you even came close to enjoying the first one 20 years ago. If you did not see the first one, don't miss 'number to'!
