With the snow starting to fall on the valley floors in North Idaho I decided to take Halley for a long walk at Dog Beach.  With the cold and snow falling I was correct that we would have the walk to ourselves.  Dog Beach is located on the Sandpoint side of Lake Pend Oreille.  At the very point is the Long Bridge ( 1 mile long ) which marks the starting point of Pend Oreille River from the Lake.  So began the Dog Day afternoon for Halley in Sandpoint Idaho.

Mom handed down a long standing tradition just before she passed.  It was the recipe for the fudge she made every year during the Holidays.  She would not give it to me before then stating it would not be so special if everyone was making it.  With it came a beautiful card that I have to this day.  10 pounds completed, and on plates, for friends before Christmas.

After a very peaceful morning of finishing another batch of fudge Rain Silverhawk called and had a FSBO and recent sale she wanted to check on in Moyie Springs, Idaho.  Asked if I could go as she had not seen seller for FSBO before.  So the nice morning continued into the afternoon.  After getting back to Naples Idaho and an early dinner for myself I put in the classic "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.

Idaho is such a warm picturesque town.  Sitting at the base of Selkirk Mountains and at Lake Pend Oreille's shore line.  Do know though, if you do not like changes in the whether season to season or even year to year North Idaho may not be your ideal location to live.    The "Sandpoint Townsquare Christmas Tree" this year, thus far, is without snow for a back drop.
