vail snow skiing: The Snow Keeps Falling and The Prices are Keeping Up. - 12/17/10 10:02 AM
Here is a video showing the amazing snow on Vail Mountain.
The Mountain is 97% open and we've had almost 150 inches of snow so far.  This is the season for a Vail trip or the purchase of a Vail home.
On the real estate front, as opposed to the skiing front, there is a noticeable uptick in activity in the market.  The three new projects in town, the Ritz Carlton,  The Four Seasons, and Solaris, are all open and looking great.  After all the years of construction, Vail is looking better than ever.
I'm actually crazy busy right now.  Closing … (2 comments)

Check out this Video to see what I'm talking about.
This post is just to talk about the incredible mountain conditions.  If you want to talk about the incredible Real Estate Conditions you'll have to give me a call or wait patiently for my next post.  Even though I'll be on the mountain, I'm still answering my cell phone.  Give me a call 970-331-5821.

vail snow skiing: Snow Snow and More Snow. Vail is Ready for Opening Day. - 11/17/10 05:44 AM
Nearly 3 feet of powder in the last week.  Vail is certainly ready for center stage.  Not only is the Mountain looking great but the town has never looked better.  The almost 2 Billion (that is a B) Dollar Vail Renewal is almost complete.  The Ritz Carlton Residences are open.  Solaris, the new town center, is open, and the Four Seasons opens on December 11.  Vail finally has a Town base with the same quality as our on-mountain experience.  Whether you are looking for a ski vacation or to purchase an amazing ski home/condo, I can point you in the right … (3 comments)

vail snow skiing: Vail Vail Vail Vail - 01/29/10 07:05 AM
So I went away last weekend.  A family vacation.  Short but sweet.  While I was away Vail transformed from America's biggest ski resort without much snow, into what we expect when we hear Vail.  It snowed a lot while I was gone.  The Mountain is in great shape, and today is one of those incredible blue sky days.  I'd like to post a picture of the blue sky, but my iPhone camera wouldn't do it justice.  Just take my word for it, today is a day to be out on the Mountain.  This is going to be a great weekend.  Hope … (1 comments)

vail snow skiing: Snow - 11/15/09 03:17 PM

It has been way too long since I last composed a blog post.  But better late than never.  So a brief overview of summer:  Vail Real Estate is picking up.  I've helped numerous buyers find great places here in Vail at great prices.  At the start of summer there were more than 450 properties on the market within the town.  Now we are almost at 400.  The best deals are some of the spec houses built in East and West Vail.  The builders are incredibly motivated and the homes are amazing.
As far as our office goes we have new … (2 comments)

vail snow skiing: Deal of the Century? - 12/05/08 03:27 AM
Vail is Vail.  That’s just the way it is.  We are very unique.  Even though we feel the economic distress, it manifests itself a little differently here.  Unlike the rest of the country our Real Estate is basically holding its value.  Of course there is a lot more inventory on the market right now, because sales have slowed, but for the most part prices haven’t really come down.
What does this mean for you, a potential buyer?  Well first and foremost you have your pick of homes.  If you are looking for a 1 Bedroom penthouse, you can find it.  If … (1 comments)

vail snow skiing: It's All Good - 12/01/08 03:26 AM
Thanksgiving is over and in my humble opinion was a success.  Seemed like a normal Thanksgiving.  I couldn’t tell that the sky was falling all around.  But that is probably due to the fact that the snow which was falling blinded me from the greater realities.  Snow has a way of doing that, especially when you live in a ski town.  Vail is our refuge, a shelter from the storm.  We are sheltered here from the everyday, real world storms, by the snow storms (which we are supposed to get again tomorrow).
Snow has a way of making everything good.  One … (2 comments)
