Yesterday, July 24th 2008, the House passed H.R. 3221. These two articles, House Passes Bill That May Stem Foreclosures on Reator.com and Housing Rescue Approved by Avrum D. Lank discuss the details of the Bill.Two of the major points of the Bill are; raising the limit up to $625,000 depending on the area of the country, on mortgages insured through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, currently there is a temporary limit of $729,750 through Dec 31 2008, however in the past the maxi mun was $417,000.
