draper utah real estate: Is Buying a Short Sale Right for You? - 11/08/11 04:31 AM
If you're shopping for a home, you may have noticed that a large number of the homes that are currently on the market are short sales. A short sale occurs when a homeowner owes a lender more than their home is worth, and the lender agrees to let the owner sell the home and accept less than what is owed. Lenders may agree to a short sale because they believe it will net them more money than going forward with a lengthy and costly foreclosure process.

draper utah real estate: Should You Continue Living in Your Current Home? - 06/16/11 03:17 PM
As we age and think about future living for ourselves or a senior family member, it’s wise to perform something called an “age-in-place assessment” for each room. Detailed “home assessment” worksheets can be found at AdaptMy.com. Typical home assessment questions include:   ›› Are the hallways and doorways wide enough? To safely maneuver in a wheelchair or on crutches, doorways need to be at least 36 inches wide and hallways at least 42 inches in width.   ›› Are steps the only way to get in / out of the home? If so, a ramp may need to be built.   … (4 comments)
