all in fun: Having Fun with Internet Video Marketing - Bob the Pirate! - 02/21/13 04:14 AM

"Bob the Pirate"
One of the things that I love about this business is the fact that we are can be as creative as we want when it comes to our advertising. Heck, it is almost a requirement to be goofy! This is a piece that I put together a while back while playing around with a new camera.

all in fun: The One Thing by Gary Keller - A book review - 02/11/13 01:21 PM
The One Thing by Gary Keller - BUY IT BELOW AT A DISCOUNT!

As a Keller Williams agent I was lucky enough to have access to the electronic version of Gary Keller's awesome new book, The One Thing. When we pre ordered it through KW we got a limited time access to an electronic version before the actual release date. Although I can't really have Gary Keller sign my version, it was very advantageous to have it before the masses.
The first thing to notice about The One Thing is that it is very simple and straight forward. I mean, … (6 comments)

The Sunshine in Vancouver Project - Today is the day!
I took us a lot longer than we had planned but we finally started delivering packages. If you have found this page, then chances are that you received your's today. This morning, Isaiah and I hit the streets with boxes full of pots and seeds. We met many of our neighbors and had the chance to say "hi" and explain the project. It was nice to be out walking the neighborhood.
We still have alot of ground to cover and plan to be out on the streets for the next few days.

all in fun: A great new source of leads. ALL IN FUN! - 12/03/11 07:13 AM
As Realtors, our success depends on prospecting at all times and making sure that everyone we run into is aware that we are the best at helping people buy and sell houses.Recently I have found a new source of leads that I will share with all of my loyal readers. What is nice about this stream of leads is that:
1. They have loads of money and want to share it.
2. Most of them were referred by an "Honorable mutual friend."
3. They only communicate via email.
4. I don't even have to look for them. They find me!Here is … (7 comments)

all in fun: Let it Rain! How do you show your colors? - 03/16/11 05:11 PM

Our son has recently discovered that he is a Korn fan. For those of you who don't know, there is a band called K O R N and my son, Nick, has decided that he is their biggest fan. The trouble with this is that he isn't able to drive, he would never go to a show with just a friend, and... well, what else is there to say? (This post will add clarity, Looking For Help And Guidance From My Active Rain Friends )Nick let us know that Korn was coming to town so we bought tickets for the … (7 comments)

all in fun: What has your office done for you lately? - 03/16/11 12:39 PM

It seems that most agents are in agreement when it comes to the support that their office gives them on a daily basis: they are only their to collect their portion of the commission split and then they are nowhere to be found. Am I right? One of the things that I love about being part of my Keller Williams office in Vancouver Washington is that we really are treated like family. Our office gets together for office events, community events, and sometimes we just head over to a happy hour together. It is fun to be part of a group … (4 comments)

Specializing in Homes for Sale Vancouver WA for the past years, I have aquired a fun file of photos of some of the more interesting items. You may remember the welcome sign? ( Photabulous Friday Fotos - Welcome Sign ) or the phone? ( PhoTabulous Friday Foto - Vintage Communications! )This is a "Far Out" ceiling fan that I recently found. To me, it looks like a cross between a Groovy 60's Flower and a UFO!

What do you think?Photo Journal - Vancouver Washington Real Estate is a side project for me. Real Estate can be a bit tedious and I will occasionally post interesting pictures of the non real estate world as I see it. all in fun: The Most Expensive Haircut in History! Vancouver Washington Real Estate - 01/09/11 10:35 AM

The Most Expensive Haircut in History! Vancouver Washington Real EstateThis is a picture of Janice and I before the "haircut." I think that it is quite iconic. Her platinum hair has almost become our trademark. I would meet people at networking events who didn't seem to know just me. I would show them a business card or introduce them to Janice and their tunes would instantly change. "Oh, that's you? I see you guys all over the place. You have a listing a few doors down from me..."

This is a shot of her now. We are working on … (12 comments)

all in fun: Sandra Bullock as my neighbor?! Gawd NO! - 12/30/10 06:16 AM

The votes have been counted in the fourth annual Zillow Celebrity Neighbor Survey and you won't believe the results! Sandra Bullock seems to be the celebrity of choice if Americans could choose their neighbors. (I would have chosen Hugh Hefner for obvious reasons!) Other notables that ranked high on the list are Sarah Palin who took second place with a whopping 10% of the vote and the Obama family placed 3rd with only 8%. Kind of makes you wonder what would have happened if she had ran for the office of the Prez instead of VP!You can see the entire article by going … (5 comments)

all in fun: Kodak Moment in London - 222 Regent Street - 12/10/10 02:41 PM

This Kodak Moment was taken during a trip to London in 2004. Self portraits have become some of our most cherished photos. Traveling across Europe as a couple, Janice and I were always challanged to get photos of the both of us together. We have hundreds of great landscapes and a jillion pics with only one of us or the other. We started to make a point of finding creative ways to get shots of the two of us together. This is one of our first attempts and one of my favorite Kodak Moments.I remember wandering around London looking for shiny … (11 comments)

all in fun: What's for Dinner? - 11/26/10 12:37 PM

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next week! Mmmmmm!
" What's for Dinner?" my son asked a few minutes ago.
I resisted the urge to just say "DUH!"I explained that we are having the same thing that we will be having for the next week. TURKEY!Turkey sandwiches. Turkey soup. Turkey salad. More turkey sandwiches. More turkey soup. etc...It is really a good thing that I like turkey. Looking at the huge platter of leftovers in the fridge, I think we should get a smaller turkey next year!I am getting fat just thing about it!

all in fun: Networking with Guns! What more could a guy want? - 11/26/10 12:31 PM

How many shooters does it take to get just one turkey?
Networking with Guns! What more could a guy want?I have been a member of the Clark County Building Industry Association for the past 6 years and one of my favorite events is their annual Turkey Shoot. It is a great opportunity to network, eat breakfast, and shoot guns. The weather was a bit challenging this year. We got about 4 inches of rain the night before the event and the winds were gusting up to 25 mph. Ever try to shoot a clay pigeon in gusty winds? I barely hit … (1 comments)

all in fun: Taking A DAy Off - Looking for tracks - 11/25/10 07:15 AM

Looking for tracksI snapped this pic yesterday from the Rams Head Bar and Grill in the Timberline Lodge in Mt. Hood Oregon. We had lunch near a window that looked out to the upper slopes of Timberline. The lifts to the top aren't yet opened so these slopes remain pristine and trackless. They almost look lonely. How would you like to be the first one for the season?

all in fun: A Special Note To fellow BOLD Students - 11/17/10 05:33 AM

I am Mark and I am BOLD...As I head into my 7th week of BOLD I thought that it would be nice to reach out to BOLD students in other parts of the country. The past 6 weeks have been exhilarating AND exhausting! Staying with the daily routine has taken its toll on me and so far it has been worth it. I have put 5 new deals into escrow that I probably wouldn't have if it weren't for BOLD.It has been a little easier for me because my wife is my real estate partner and she took BOLD at … (7 comments)

all in fun: New Camera or an IPad? That is the Question! - 11/14/10 04:39 AM

New Camera or an IPad? That is the Question! My birthday is coming up in a few days and I intend to buy myself a present. A friend of mine informed me last week that there is a standing rule in their family that all birthday presents are required to be plugged in. In keeping with the spirit of their household I have narrowed it down to one of two shiny new electronical objects!1. A new camera - In a previous life I was a photographer and I ran my own studio for a few years. As the digital revolution began … (9 comments)

This is a video testimonial from two of our favorite clients, Rob and Flo Bott. They were great fun to work with, although there were times when I wondered if we would ever find the right place. I can't wait for their house warming party. It should be out of this world!

all in fun: Portland Oregon - 5th Most Tattooed City in America - 08/19/10 10:54 AM

This is a congratulations message to all of my inked up friends across the river in Portland. Not only are you the greenest city in America, but now you have most of the other colors as well. MSNBC just did a report on The 10 Most Tattooed Cities in America and Portland placed a solid 5th! Of course, as Realtors, it is our job to turn any little tidbit of news in the a selling point and this is no different. I would love to hear how some of the more creative thinkers in the crowd would write a listing for … (1 comments)
