Denver’s Botanic Gardens are my all-time favorite place in the city. I can’t quite put it into words why I love the Botanic Gardens so much, but I will try ;) 
 
Maybe it’s because it strikes the right balance between open space, utilitarian buildings, educational resource, and beautiful zen reflection area. Maybe because of the 'Frank Lloyd Wright-esque' art-deco doors to the tropical conservatory?

Even the buildings feel as if they have sprung up organically. There is a beautiful, almost ironic quality to the concrete that is a huge part of the structures. There are curves, symmetry and elegance in perfect harmony with … (1 comments)

denver botanic gardens: Why I love Denver - Cheesman Park - 02/09/19 09:12 PM
Since moving to Denver in 2001 I’ve mainly lived in and around Cheesman Park or at least within walking distance - Cap Hill, Congress Park, City Park West to name a few of the neighborhoods I’ve been fortunate enough to live in. Cheesman Park holds a special place in my heart though and always will do. 
 
The number one reason is that it’s a spiritual place for me. I got sober in January of 2014 and have walked the Park daily since - well as often as I can. It grounds me. I feel connected. Maybe it’s because of all the dead … (8 comments)
