I LOVE the Carl Sandburg home! I'm so fortunate to have the privilege to drive such a short distance and feel miles away. My favorite times to visit the Sandburg home would be at Christmas which I discussed in a previous post and Spring when the new baby goats are making their debut. So without further adoo...May I entroduce one of the new Kidd's on the block pictures below.

Fall is in the air and now through mid October the best to place to pick apples is Sky Top Apple Orchard. Located in Historic Flat Rock North Carolina, the orchard is a wonderful place to spend the day with your family at this family owned farm. You can pick your own apples or buy already picked apples. In addition to the apple orchard there is a pond with ducks and geese, a barnyard area with sheep, goats, chickens, and turkeys! The setting is breathtaking.
