Here are some VA loan facts you might have been wondering about, too:
 
1. Active duty personnel can use their VA loan benefit as soon as they have 181 days of continuous service.
2.  You can have more than one VA loan at a time!
3.  You don't need your Certificate of Eligibility in hand to start looking for a home.

Based on data from the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors data base, the Killeen Fort Hood real estate market shows more homes sold the first half of 2013 than in the same time period in 2012.  The six month total for 2012 was 1287 Units sold.   The six month total for the first half of 2013 is 1402 Units sold.   While this sounds like good news, the average selling price has changed from $138,704 in 2012, to a lower value of $134,691 so far in 2013.  The mean sales price is up about $1900 for 2013.

Early this morning, around 5:30 AM, I was watching a national cable news network report on the state of the real estate industry recovery.   The main focus of this report was on the "fact that is is getting very difficult to buy a home" because:
"You MUST have a credit score of at least 720 to buy a home.You MUST have at least 20% down payment to buy a home."
