This is the first article in a series about getting to know the beachfront neighborhoods of Cancun in more detail. Cancun is merely 4 decades old and has many untouched areas. The miles of beaches hold little known secrets that few venture out to discover. We start in the northern end of Cancun. Ilsa Blanca is not actually an island but a peninsula. The area of Isla Blanca sits 30 minutes north of downtown Cancun but feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. This quiet beach is beautifully laden with pearl white sand stretching far and unbroken by hotels. (3 comments)
