I always felt like the Brookside Art Annual really starts off the summer season of festive outdoor events, even though technically it's still Spring! Here are the details:
Hours are Fri 5-9pm; Sat 10am-9pm; Sun 11am-5pm. Free activities for kids on Saturday and Sunday; live music in the evening, and local Brookside businesses will have food booths for noshing and drink. Please do not bring pets!

A sure sign of Spring in Brookside! The Art Annual is happening this weekend, May 5-7, 2017, at Brookside Road and 63rd St.
Artists from around the US will display their home made creations: pottery, painting, photography, jewelry, sculptures, clothes, leather goods--it's all here under the tents. Besides wandering amoung the booths, you can bring the kids for free childrens' activities Saturday and Sunday and enjoy snacks and food from local restaurants.

This weekend (May 3-5, 2013) is the Brookside Art Annual--one of the best events our local business association hosts each year. Always held the first weekend of May, the weather can be an issue but it doesn’t seen to stop art lovers from checking out what’s under the white tents at 63rd and Brookside Blvd. This year marks the 28th year for the event.

As we get into the warmer weather, the calendar fills up with happenings in the Brookside/Waldo area. I’ve listed the upcoming major events here for reference: Brookside Farmers’ Market Opening day this year is April 20, 8:00am-1:00pm at 63rd and Wornall, Border Star School. This market is open every Saturday.
Waldo Farmers Market Opening day is May 1, 3:00pm-7:00pm on 79th St, one block east of Wornall next to Habitat ReStore. This market is open every Wednesday.
