The road to Hana is back in full swing, with waterfalls We drove the road to Hana, to go to Nahiku, a few days after some really heavy rainfall on Maui. The waterfalls on the north shore were choked! Such a glorious sight. Of course there was no time to stop, so I had to frantically snap shots out the window as hubby did the driving. Well I got lucky a few times and this one really nails it - just another waterfall shot on the famous "road to Hana" on Maui's north shore. Halama St. in Kihei Maui - an oceanfront neighborhood If you want an oceanfront home in Kihei Maui, the options are somewhat limited, because much of the coastal real estate is taken up by condominium resorts, and beach parks. South Kihei Road is the main artery along the coastline, and there's a few streets that extend beyond this and offer some neighborhoods with single family homes. Uluniu Rd. is one, and Halama St. is another. Let's see what's happening on Halama St.... Halama Street - runs between Kalama Park to the south, and up to W. Kapu Rd. to the north.

What's for sale right now in Olinda Maui? Olinda is a region of upcountry Maui that's located above the town of Makawao. If you drive up Olinda Road from the crossroads with Makawao Ave. you'll go up past the Oskie Rice rodeo grounds and Seabury Hall campus. It's a delightful drive along a winding road that climbs higher and higher amidst towering eucalyptus trees and open pastures. At the very top is the Waihou Spring Forest Reserve with hiking trails through the pine trees.
