Paia/Haiku Maui Hawaii Real Estate Listings Newsletter - July 2011------------------------------------------------------------ It was great to see the July Realtor Caravan homes this month. A good mix of old and new, small and large, and nothing over $1,000,000. It just keeps getting better! 1. fixer upper: Upcountry Realtor Caravan - Paia/Haiku Maui October 2007

I mentioned the other day about Haiku Realtor Caravan. Let me explain what that is exactly. Fidelity National Title sponsors our Upcountry Caravans every Thursday so the Maui real estate agents and affiliates can get together and preview all the latest listings in the past month. On the 2nd Thursday it's always the area of the north shore, Haiku and Paia-Spreckelsville-Kuau. There are usually anywhere from 8-18 listings, some land but mostly homes... starter homes and fabulous country estates. This month of October we had 14 properties to see, and it takes a few hours to get to all of them, because Haiku covers a lot … (2 comments)
fixer upper: Fixer with a View - Haliimaile Maui

Even in today's market there are still some really good fixer-uppers out there. I saw one recently that would make an excellent project for the hands-on home buyer who has to have an ocean view. The quiet town of Haliimaile, on the slopes of Haleakala, is basically a "company town". Maui Land and Pineapple Company (MLP) base their pineapple farming operations here. Back when the sugar and pineapple plantations ruled this island, the companies would build worker housing, known as camps.
