Speechless Sunday - wild Maui pigs getting close to the trap They didn't enter the trap, but let's just say the freezer is full of pork right now! Thankful for all the bounty that comes our way.

Living off the land in Haiku Maui - wild pig for dinner Sometimes when we visit our cattle ranch on the north shore of Maui, we find some wild pigs running loose and tearing up the pastures. They are such a nuisance really, destroying the nice level ground and digging holes as they root for food. They are a problem all over the island as they spread a lot of invasive plant species wherever they go. So we don't feel bad when we "harvest" a few for the freezer.
