What's happening on Maui this weekend? The Butterfly Effect With Mother's Day upon us this weekend, there's plenty of fun things to do on Maui. Today was another beautiful day on Maui - the Kona storm has passed and things are back to normal here on the north shore. This was the scene at Ho'okipa Beach Park, with the usual smattering of beach-goers, surfers, windsurfers and kite-boarders. Waves were mid size, nothing like the 20-footers we had last week. With the warm water and gentle tradewinds, it was a perfect day for going to the beach. I stopped in with my dad and we both took some pictures.
