Mana Foods in Paia Maui is expanding and improving. Over the past year or more the little health food store in Paia has been undergoing a lot of changes. Last summer they added on to the south side of the building, and this summer they have been adding on to the north end. It's no wonder, as this is a very popular and busy grocery store on the north shore. They have been a good part of the community for over 30 years! A whole lot of construction going on in Paia Maui Hawaii There's so much going on in Paia these days it's hard to keep up. Here are some pictures taken over the past month or so showing what's up and coming in the commercial sector of this little beach town. A month ago the old Paia Yoga studio was getting a makeover to prepare for the arrival of Mesh Yoga from New York. Yesterday I noticed they are now open! In between Milagro's and Alice in Hulaland a great big (for Paia) building is going up. April 18 shows a lot of progess (3 comments)

You never know what you're going to see in Paia Maui, so bring your camera I always take my camera with me on trips to Paia Maui because you never know what you'll see. It's such a charming little northshore beach town filled with interesting shops and characters.
Today I saw fresh cocoa pods for sale in Mana Foods. I saw a young daughter of an old friend, all grown up and beautiful. I saw a new store giving away tacos and hibiscus tea. I saw cotton plants growing in front of the Paia Dharma Center. And of course I (3 comments)
Parking rates at Paia Town Center - Paia Maui HI Here in Paia Maui, improvements to the largest parking lot is a mixed blessing. The paving and the lights are nice, and we all got used to the one way flow of traffic behind Charley's. What's hard to get used to is the new parking rates with no mercy. Not even a 15 minute window. There's now a manned exit station so you MUST PAY on your way out. It used to be you could hardly find a spot to park here, in the rutted old dirt lot behind Charley's (4 comments)

mana foods: Are you getting hungry? Where to eat in Paia Maui Hawaii

PAIA RESTAURANTS If you're on Maui and thinking about where to eat, I have a website that will help. Paia town has many great restaurants, as well as stores where you can buy food to go. Mana Foods, the health food store, has a great deli and salad bar, which I frequent often. For a really good fish dinner, we always like to go to the Paia Fish Market and get the Seafood Caesar Salad, with mahi mahi. Dining is informal and family style on long tables and benches, so you can meet other diners. It's usually pretty busy in there, so (2 comments)
