Canada Geese love English Bay in Vancouver B.C. I'm spending some time up in Vancouver B.C. Canada and the weather has been so great for taking walks along the shore in English Bay. This is a very beautiful and scenic part of Canada, on the west coast, with the ocean and snow capped mountains dominating the natural landscape. The cityscape is something else to see, with towering high rises, harbors and bridges, old and new architecture. It's a dynamic and busy place.

This year's Art of Trash event at the Maui Mall showcased some very creative artwork put together from trash and junk that would otherwise end up in the landfill, or as beach debris. I noticed a recurring theme of plastics in our ocean, which has become a monumental global pollution problem. We are drowning in a sea of unwanted plastic trash, and we are the problem.

Sashimi Sunset at the Molokini Lounge, Makena Beach and Golf Resort Makena Beach and Golf Resort is one of our favorite places to escape to for a one-nighter vacation on Maui. Happy Hour at the Molokini Lounge includes some nice appetizers for a good price. The sashimi trio was very enjoyable while watching the sunset last weekend. Makena is where we first fell in love with Maui, and perhaps each other! Cocktail hour overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean, nibbling on nature's bounty, listening to some live island music.
