Video at the Maui Aloha Classic - windsurfing contest Oct 2019
Here's a link to a short video taken at Ho'okipa Beach Park, in Paia Maui. The PWA Aloha Classic was on hold because the waves were too big and dangerous. This annual competition pits the best men and women windsurfers in the world. But despite the lack of contestants battling it out on the waves, the beach scene was colorful and interesting, as it usually is.

Stop in at this little farm stand by Ho'okipa Beach Park on Maui's north shore. Grab yourself an ice cold coconut ready for drinking the sweet coconut water! This is the way it was intended, never mind buying it in a bottle at the grocery store.

It's not often you get to see a classic home like this on Maui's north shore, with the good old fashioned stainless steel double sink that was very state of the art back then. Remember those red formica countertops? In the 60's we used to have the table and chairs that matched that red formica, with the chrome legs and trim band around the edge. That brings back some memories!

We are very lucky to live close to one of the best fine dining restaurants on Maui, so whenever possible we love to have an early dinner or late lunch here at Mama's Fish House Restaurant. During the daytime the views are just beautiful from this oceanfront setting, and when you have a front row table this is as good as it gets.

Earlier this month I worked on my second episode for the Hawaii Life TV show on HGTV.
The buyers were a young couple and they had a really good time filming the scenes, and so did I. The first time around 3 years ago I was very nervous, but this time I was more relaxed. We did the usual tour of 3 or 4 Maui homes for sale, and got to meet up in some scenic spots to talk about features and decisions. They're really going to look good on camera and I hope you'll watch the new season this fall.

It's October on Maui, and that means a lot of Halloween celebrations. The party in Lahaina is the biggest event at this time of year, with tens of thousands of people attending in costumes and masks. Lots of fun activities and costume contests, live music and partying.
You can sail over to Lahaina on The Pride of Maui for the festivities, and leave your car at Maalaea Harbor to avoid the traffic on the pali.
