Paia Maui Hawaii market update - lots of inventory
It's nice to see a lot of new real estate listings in the Paia area as it's usually pretty slim pickings. Right now there are 22 listings of homes, and 3 condo listings for sale.
Here's what's happening in the residential sector:
22 total listings, 7 are pending and 15 are active pending sales are all priced at $699,000 or less 12 listings are priced at $699,000 or less the next price is $1,395,000 with nothing in between 8 oceanfront listings are priced from $2,995,000 to $10,500,000 the oceanfront listings stay on the … (4 comments)

When it's time to eat lunch or dinner in Paia Maui, the Paia Fishmarket restaurant can be counted on for good fresh fish and other choices. I tend to always get this delicious Ceaser salad with grilled mahi mahi or ono, but often find myself eyeballing other plates as they come out of the kitchen. I haven't tried all of the dishes, but judging from the happy faces at the family style tables, it's all good!

When you know it smells fishy, it's not that hard to Google the email address, phone number, name, or even the whole message. Sure enough, this was a stinker. Watch out for Andrew Becker and his emails coming your way next.
I did reply to Andrew, as that's what we do, and I haven't heard back from him yet. Just a few simple questions to help me help him. But maybe he already found somebody on Maui to assist him in buying a new house! Good luck Andrew.

Did you know Maui has a distillery in Haliimaile, a former pineapple plantation town? They make rum and vodka here at the Haliimaile Distilling Company, using pineapples and sugar cane grown locally! One of the products is Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar Rum.
You can take a tour of the plant, and visit the tasting room/gift shop for some unique items. This can be a highlight of your visit to Haliimaile if you're stopping by the Hailiimaile General Store Restaurant.

Kula Maui is very picturesque, with rolling pastures, ocean views and rustic old farm buildings. One of the famous painters here on the island is Curtis Wilson Cost. You can see his beautiful art work in many galleries and other locations. What is striking about his paintings is that they look so real and within reach. I love the classic scenes of times gone by.

Back when we used to have a few geese I would collect the eggs and blow them out for painting. These are some of the results.
We no longer have geese, since having Jack Russell Terriers doesn't make it very easy to have free range poultry. Now I have to settle for chicken eggs... but haven't gotten around to painting any this year.

You can raise geese and chickens in Haiku Maui and make your own Easter eggs!

Wailea Pharmacy now open at the Wailea Gateway Center
There's now a pharmacy in Wailea at the Gateway Center, and they've been open since about October 2014. You can get your prescriptions filled at this new drug store, or just shop for those every day needs. Very convenient if you live in Maui Meadows, Kihei or Wailea Maui.
Hours of operation:
Monday-Saturday 9:00 to 6:00 Saturday the pharmacy closes at 1:00, but the store is open Sunday - closed Call them at 808 879-0123

Pukalani Maui - more EV charging stations now open
There's another new charging station for EV's (electric vehicles) on Maui, and this time it's upcountry at the Pukalani Terrace Center. It looks like there's room for 4 cars, but I didn't see anyone plugged in yet, probably because it's so new. We need to get word out!
