Camelback Mountain - Phoenix, Arizona I want to say what a great experience we had climbing the trail at Echo Canyon Park - to the top of Camelback Mountain, in the heart of the Phoenix metropolis. It was a good hike that took us over 3 hours (we rested for an hour at the top). The guidebook told us it was going to be strenuous, and they weren't kidding. It was hot and steep, but so worth it.
