   What is the number one thing needed to get your home sold?  Money.  It is that simple. I saw a statement on the web this morning that made me a wee bit angry.  It read, Existing Home Sales Hits 9yr. Low. Today I will be touching on the subject of market conditions for the Gresham, Oregon area.  These numbers are based on January 2008 numbers.  First off let's look at the average market time for Gresham.  It was 80 days which means you home will take an average of 80 days to sell.  Next thing to look at is the average sales price which was $249,600.  There were 1,022 listing on the market and 360 new listings went on the market.  The appreciation rate was 4.4%.  This gives you a general idea of what the market was like for that … (0 comments)

Today I went to a class that talked about Real Estate Law.  I attend various classes every year and love doing so.  As a Realtor, I am required to have 30 credit hours in different courses before my licenses needs to be renewed.  This time frame is two years.  It is amazing the variety of topics that are taught to me as a Realtor.  Today we had a guest speaker who was a lawyer and talked about one of his cases.  These types of classes are especially important to me as it teaches me how things like Mediation and Arbitration are … (1 comments)
