southwest louisiana: June is a busy month for Real Estate and Weddings

They say June is the month for summer weddings. June is also one of the peak summer months for Southwest Louisiana real estate activity! June 2016 will certainly go down in my books as a memorable month of activity of home sales and personal events. As a busy Lake Charles Realtor I found myself closing out six home sales this month, continuing to show three new relocation buyers and negotiating contracts on four of my new listings! At the same time I was trying to balance my duties as Mother of the Groom with the my son's wedding on June 18th! (1 comments)

This is the favorite time of the year for alot of people. Not only is it FALL when we enjoy the cooler temperatures, enjoy college football games and look forward to the approaching holidays, but this is HUNTING SEASON in Louisiana!! Our area here in Southwest Louisiana is known as "Sportsman's Paradise" You can take your pick of sports, deer, geese, duck, we have got it all to offer the sportsman. (46 comments)
I work with alot of Relocation Buyers, those moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana from other areas. Because of the strength of our local oil and gas industry, Southwest Louisiana has alot of management employees that transfer in and out with companies like Conoco, Citgo and PPG Industries to name a few. We here in Southwest Louisiana have been lucky to enjoy a healthy real estate market. Our local industries are the mainstay of our economy and steady relocation stimulates housing sales.
