Cornelius Neighborhood Antiquity Still Growing despite economy - Cornelius Real Estate News
For many who are looking to buy new construction in the Lake Norman region you may just want to drive over the covered bridge in Cornelius. Located only minutes from the Lake, I-77, Davidson and the brand new Hough High School. Here is a recent article from the Charlotte Observer singing the praise of the great community.
It's a familiar site in North Carolina and around the country: land lined with partially paved roads, utility hookups and empty lots. Nearby sits a weathered sign boasting the name of the … (0 comments)

homes for sale: Search Your Property Tax Rate in Charlotte NC - Mecklenburg County - 05/18/11 05:23 AM

Residents living in Mecklenburg County, NC have gone years without new assessments and property taxes. This certainly is not a good time to be raising anyone's taxes but they are coming.
I still believe that North Carolina is still a very affordable place to live. I have clients who live in New Jersey and pay close to $8000/year for a 1200 sq ft home. On my home in Huntersville NC which is in Mecklenburg County I pay just over $3000/year. I am very comfortable to be paying that amount for the tremendous schools, parks and other amenities in the north … (0 comments)

homes for sale: Summer Sale for Birkdale, Gilead Ridge, MacAulay and Stephens Grove not bad - Huntersville, NC Real Estate - 08/04/10 04:45 AM
Summer home sales in the Huntersville, NC area have been somewhat slow, but a few neighborhoods continue to stay strong.
There have been over 30 closings for Birkdale, MacAulay, Stephens Grove and Gilead Ridge just in the months of June and July. I also believe there will be a "flurry"of activity in the coming weeks just because people are looking to get in before the start of school.
I would highly recommend any of the above neighborhoods, as well as some others, for anyone moving to the area.  Check out links below to view all homes for sale in those subdivisions.
