Do you remember the prime time television series Northern Exposure? Parts of Red Feather remind me of that show. Just like the opening scene in Northern Exposure, moose are known to frequent the Village of Red Feather Lakes and the surrounding area often. At first visitors may experience a little culture shock just like Joel, the New York doctor did in the show, too. A plane on the Crystal Lakes Subdivision airstrip reminded me of Maggie, the pilot - but we do not rely on air transportation for supplies - we aren't that isolated.
