Yesterday morning, our office took a tour of The Western Ridge Resort. The Western Ridge has a restaurant, swimming pool, RV campground, gas station, manager’s home, a large barn, cabins to rent, horse stables and so much more.
One of the cabins to rent, called the Blacksmith Shop really was a Blacksmith’s shop and the old forge is still there in the corner of the cabin.
Beautiful old cottonwood trees grace the area surounding the cabins with lovely shade in summer. There you can also find an old unused root cellar, a chicken coop and other remnants of days gone by. … (12 comments)
The old toll house, built in 1935 is situated at the intersection of Hwy 14 (the Poudre Canyon Rd) and County Rd 69.
