Next weekend begins the time of year when almost every vehicle coming down 74E has a tree on top! People have been cutting their own Christmas tree in the area for several years and for many, it's a family tradition! You can cut your own Christmas Tree December 2nd through the 10th, 2017 in Red Feather Lakes, CO. Smokey Bear is at the tree cutting site on the weekends greeting visitors, so bring your camera and take a photo with Smokey! The Traditional Greening of Red Feather is always on the first (full) weekend in December- so that would be next weekend: December 7th and 8th 2013. Now, this year - it's a little different, as many of the craft booths will be located in the Fellowship Hall/Community Building that is attached to the Chapel in the Pines. Chapel in the Pines is located right of County Rd. 74 E on the south side of the road. (The Fellowship Hall was built with the Community in mind.
