Can an intoxicated person enter into a contract? Of course they can, HOWEVER they can also pick a fight with their best friend, forget where their car is, wake up on the bathroom floor, or order $1,000 worth of Tupperware…. So, there I was in my own little world, taking outside photos of my new listing, when the neighbor said hello. We had briefly met before, but didn’t recognize each other, so reintroduced ourselves. She sells real estate too, and of course, we starting talking. She invited me over to see her cabin (which, by the way, is adorable). When I was leaving, she walked outside with me and said “quick get a picture”- and there, about 30 (?) feet away was a bobcat. The other day I received a lead, requesting more information on a vacant lot I have listed in Glacier View Meadows. In the comments section, the individual entered: “love it , i want to die there” It just struck me funny, and I hoped they were planning on purchasing the property before they died there…( It would be horrifying to find a corpse on the lot at the next showing!) …. but then I do have a twisted sense of humor! .

Do we really need a survey in Red Feather Lakes? In Colorado, the buyer can choose if they want to get a survey - most often for residential properties, it might only be an Improvement Location Certificate (ILC), but you can choose to get a different kind of survey, too. There’s a paragraph in the Colorado Real Estate contract that addresses the survey/ILC. It was kind of a slow Sunday at the Real Estate office. A lot of people had Christmas Trees and not Real Estate on the top of their to-do list. Do you remember the prime time television series Northern Exposure? Parts of Red Feather remind me of that show. Just like the opening scene in Northern Exposure, moose are known to frequent the Village of Red Feather Lakes and the surrounding area often.
