It's that time of year again and I am very excited! The ‘Taste of Addison" is back. http://www.addisontexas.net/events/TasteAddison Located at 4970 Addison Circle Drive in Addison, Texas. It starts May 9th and runs through May 11th. Friday 5pm-12am, Saturday 12pm- 12am, and Sunday 12pm-6pm. I predict it will be better than ever. It is fun to take family and friends to try all the different foods, wines, rides, and listen to the live bands. The Black Crows are going to be there! There are many benefits to having older friends. They know more about history because they lived it. They offer sound advice because they have ‘been there, done that'. All of my faults do not seem to be a big deal to them. Yes, many of my friends are a little older than I am. Not by my own device. It just happens. I live in Texas and have been practicing real estate for over seven years. I have admittedly put myself in some really stupid situations. Trying to learn from my mistakes, I try to check all bases to consider safety first. I let everyone know where I am at all times. I try to not work open houses alone. I do not take buyers out without doing a DNA test first (well maybe that is not exactly true). Point is- I am paranoid and rightly so. I know this has probably been done before but I wasn't a member then. If you link a previous blog I will read it. I want to hear the funniest/embarrassing/scary showing stories. Picture this- My first listing, my first showing, a first time home buyer. When I took the listing I knew they had birds. I wasn't scared of them but didn't have any experience dealing with them either. The buyer called me because of my yard sign. I asked the sellers to leave while I showed the home.
