Benicia Tree Lighting and Open House today, 12-2. Don't miss our annual tree lighting service tonight at the end of First Street near the Carquinez Straits and pier. First Street is closed off from 530-9PM. Most stores will be open, carriage rides, pictures with Santa, pictures with Tinker Bell, goodies and hot chocolate and wine for the adults. Relay for Life Fundraiser at Round Table Pizza is happening Tuesday May 24th from 5pm-9pm. Round Table Pizza is located at 878 Southampton Rd in the Raley's Shopping Center, Benicia CA. Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific has a team raising money for the Vallejo Relay for Life. For the past several months we have been raising money with different events. We have had garage sales, Fish Taco Feeds, and Dump-Donate events. So far our office has raised close to $3000. Help raise more for this worthy cause! For several years running Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific in Benicia is a Toys for Tots Drop Off. We have a huge box waiting for toys to delight the children of less fortune. Our box does a great job in getting loaded up, so please, if you are downtown please stop by and make a deposit. Your heart will be joyful and the Toys for Tots program will be thankful. Our local Benicia Main Street Program has about 30 businesses vying for best Scarecrow in a contest they have been sponsoring for the last few years. They give the participating businesses, which includes Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific, a stick figure in a bucket ready to be dressed and displayed outside each front. The everyone goes to town fixing them up in their own unique fashion. A bunch of local Realtors in the Benicia Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific office, led by Jeff Dennis, created a takeoff on the Monopoly game. The banker is our scarecrow! The 4th of July starts the day before in our historic city Benicia. Benicia is located about 35 miles northeast of SF. For many years the downtown parade has been an annual hit for all ages. The night before one will see lawn chairs and blankets mysteriously appear along the parade route marking their prime viewing spot. The torchlight parade kicks off several days of activities in Benicia. The parade lasts for at least 1-2 hours so be prepared to see bands, dancing, creative floats, decorated horses, local service groups and my favorite.....Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific Kazoo Band. Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific at 900 First St, Benicia has two huge barrels looking for a can a week from YOU! Last year we filled barrels with food for the Solano County Food Bank. This year, even more so, than last year there is need for food to fill the stomachs of children and adults who may not have the ability to pay for food. Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific has a red Santa's Mail Box waiting for letters to Santa. The Mail Box is located at 900 First St Benicia in our lobby. Every year this special mail box receives lots of mail and Santa is looking forward to more this year of 2007! Write a letter to Santa, drop in the mail box by December 19th and get a handwritten letter back. Remember to put your return address so Santa can get a letter back to you. This special Santa Mail Box is waiting and willing to receive your letters!!
