safety: Safety First!

I am always harping on safety!! I had a new experience with a client yesterday at a home that I had been warned by the listing agent might be a little unsafe. You know be careful as you walk in the floor is a little soft kind of warning. Not the OMG that we actually got when we were there. There were two houses side by side. The first house had begun to have repairs done to it and was the first one we previewed. Both homes were vacant on lockbox. I had a very difficult time getting the door open … (9 comments)

Just another reason for us to be very careful as Realtors. Our office has several policies we use when going out with buyers or listing appointments. First and foremost if you don't feel comfortable take an associate with you. If you are uneasy with a prospective buyer, tell them you need to make a copy of their driver's licenses for your file before you take them to show them houses, have them pre-qualified by a lender, make an itinerary and file it with someone in the office prior to leaving and have them call you several times while you are out. … (7 comments)
