For Homes on the San Francisco Peninsula Tuesday is tour day in San Mateo County.  The tour is sponsored by 2 realtor boards, San Mateo County Association of Realtors, and SILVAR, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors.  The SAMCAR tour for today, January 18, 2011, included 200 residential listings with substantially less homes for sale than on last week’s tour. Tuesday is realtor tour day in San Mateo County, and the tour is pretty light, since Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Most home owners and realtors seem to have their mind on taking a pause to appreciate family, friends and feast. There was a total of 213 properties on tour today.

Redwood City Public Communications Manager Malcolm Smith has also announced a free e-waste clean up event benefitting Redwood City's Fair Oaks Branch Library this Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th, 9-4 pm at the Fair Oaks Library parking lot, 2600 Middlefield Road.
Just drive in and drop off your old electronics, working or not, for free!  And know you're helping in 2 ways:
1. You're helping keep e-waste out of our landfills and helping recycle. Currently less than 10% of e-waste is being properly dismantled or recycled .

According to Malcolm Smith, Public Communications Manager for Redwood City,
San Mateo County's Environmental Health Division is holding a household hazardous waste collection event in Redwood City this Saturdary, October 9th, from 8:30 to 12 noon at 1400 Broadway (Public Works Services parking lot) in Redwood City.  You can drop off a variety of household hazardous materials at no charge, and you must make an appointment by going online  at or calling  650-363-4718 (choose option 3). 
Redwood City and all San Mateo County Residents may drop off a full range of household hazardous waste at this collection event, including:
