Do you ever wonder why our profession gets no or little respect? I believe our profession gets so little respect because you can be delivering pizza one day and have a license to sell real estate the next day. Yes, I know I am simplifying this and that there are hours of class and passing a test is required. Would you trust any other professional such as a doctor or lawyer if there was no real training or experience required to practice that profession?

Now that the real estate market has recovered in Phoenix, I am encountering part time agents way to many times that give our industry a bad reputation. No wonder the public generally has low respect for real estate agents. I was talking to a prospective client last week about helping her sell her home and buy another. She was happy to hear that I am a FULL TIME agent with 10 years of experience. She told me how another agent had visited her a day earlier soliciting her for her home listing.
