It seems that since the spring is here people here in Maryland are gearing up for the great fun that the good weather and friends bring. Lots of people seem to be getting their decks cleaned, stained, treated, and generally having them fixed up as they should do as a scheduled yearly safety maintenance program. OK well I did another Home Inspection today in Gaithersburg Maryland. Wow the heat came back and reminded me just how hot attics get in the summer here in Maryland. The sweat was dripping and the air was thick it was a Long 15 minutes. Fortunately from past experience I have learned to turn on the AC just before doing the attic inspections so that when I get out, the house is cool, (hopefully). I have performed so many Home Inspections over the years that I have seen it all. Brand new homes, 100 year old homes and everything in between. OK well today I performed another Home Inspection on a brand new home. This home was just completed by the builder and in fact the settlement is not until tomorrow. The home owner is a very nice young single mom. This is a very nice (gorgeous) in my opinion) 3500 sq ft single family with finished basement, 2 car garage and all the bells and whistles. OK well the girl was told that it is a waste of her money to get a Home Inspection on this house because it was brand new.
