South Pasadena Rose Parade Float “Never Give Up” Passes The Finish Line

 
The 128th annual Tournament of Roses Parade is now in the history books. South Pasadena with the oldest self-built float in the parade showed people that even though it didn’t win an official award the community spirit is very much alive in this city.  
 
 
 
 

 
This year’s entry “Never Give Up” had about 85% or more of the surface area covered with fresh flowers(according to the organization’s Facebook page). The Tournament of Roses Parade that brings in the New Year is such a Pasadena tradition that some might be surprised that there will be no parade on Sunday, January 1, 2017.  No football game either.   
 
It’s not due to a lack of funds.  Nor some type of protest statement.  
 
Even though I have written extensively about the tournament’s Never On Sunday policy, this may still catch some people wondering if the parade and the Rose Bowl Football game have been cancelled.
