There's certainly times when a quick answer or a prompt response is both necessary as well as appreciated. In my opinion, this should not come with eliminating perspective, thoughtful discussion and identifying logical alternatives.
This is definitely not time to exhibit flying by the seat of one's pants. In fact, idioms likely confuse the bigger issue. Facts are important and from sources closest to reality. Time Was Not The Issue Recently I met with a longtime friend and neither of us could remember the most recent time or the occasion we met. Sometimes it doesn't matter. Or does it ever really matter?
Time may be a factor in determining worth in some situations. It can be important when trying to establish a point of reference. Not so much in others.
